Story Number One

Story Number One: This story was the one that spurred this blog. My husband and I had just moved to a new town. The town we live in has a population of 1,495. We have not had the opportunity of meeting anyone in town because of our busy lives. We both work and have two kids and a dog. We were sharing one car between the two of us for almost four months. We were finally in a postion to maybe get our second vehicle fixed. We took it to the local Auto Repair Shop. We dropped it off at night and called to see if they could look at it and give us a diagnosis whenever they got a chance. We received a call and they told us it was going to cost us six hundred dollars. My husband and I decided that it was too much and that we would have to wait. I gave the shop a call in the morning and kindly told him Thank you for looking at our truck, but we were not in the position to get it fixed. He paused and said " You know what, we are going to fix it and you can pay us when it works for you, two weeks, next month, let us know." Here was a man that had never met my husband or I and he was willing to do this for us....just because.
