Story Number Five:
Last summer was a big year for my husband and I. We had just had our second child and we were barely able to pay our rent and buy groceries. Times were tough to say the least. We were reminiscing about our great paying jobs we had before moving back to the Midwest. We had a sudden knock on our front door. My husband went to see who it was. A couple of minutes had passed and I realized he was still outside. I went to see who was here. He was standing with a man that was maybe in his fifties, I had never seen him before. They were in mid conversation and I overheard the man say he had recently been laid off. He told us that he worked for GM and that they relocated him and is family to Minnesota. A few months later they let him go. He told us he has been looking for work ever since. He looked at me and said with a smile that "he was a christian man and he trusted that God was going to take care of him." (What he didn't know was that my husband and I were talking about how we need to pray and trust that our life will get better just minutes before) I looked right back at him with tears in my eyes and told him that. He said that "maybe God sent me hear to remind me of that". I had to excuse myself and go inside. I literally fell to my knees. My husband came in and told me that, this man had stopped because he noticed a dent in our car and wanted to fix it for a really affordable price. My husband said he would love for him to fix the car but we can't even pay our bills. What happened next will blow you away. Ten or fifteen minutes passed and that man came back to our house. He handed me money and with tears in his eyes told me he felt like he was meant to give us this money. He hugged me and told me we are all going through this and then he walked away. To this day I have no idea who he was but I am forever grateful.
