Story Number Six
I want to say "Thank you" for all the responses and messages about this blog. I am very excited about sharing these stories and hope to continue to add as many stories as I can. Story number six happened while I was at work. I went to greet my client and she seemed very upset. She told me right away that she was very emotional and she had a lot going on in her life. She apologized for her tears and said she would try not to cry during her appointment time. For the next forty-five minutes I listened and wished for her, healing. I walked her up to the desk so she could check out. The receptionist handed her a gift card and told her that this was from another client in the salon. My client was confused and asked why would they do that. The receptionist told her that the the client was sitting near her in the waiting area and could tell she was upset and wanted to do something that might cheer her up. My client wanted to thank the kind person that did this and the receptionist told her that this person didn't want her to know who they were. Wow! I just witnessed a random act of kindness in all it's greatness. I hope that this will awaken awareness to keep our eyes and hearts open to the people all around us.
